Candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required, Master’s degree in engineering/ technology preferred and with 3-6 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator experience in SQL Server 2008R2/ 2008/ 2012/ 2014/ 2016 is needed to apply.

Sound knowledge onSystem Administration, Disaster Recovery, Microsoft SQL with queries, Log Shipping, Configuring Clustering / Mirroring / HA (High Availability), Trouble Shooting with SQL and Event viewer logs, Security Administration (local accounts & active directory), Database instance configuration / backup / migration.

Installation of SQL Server 2005/ 2008/ 2008R2/ 2012/ 2014/ 2016/ 2017 on x64-bit Operating System, Migrating data from one version of SQL Server to another like from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2012 and from SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2014/2016, Proficient in SQL Management Studio, Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, Rescheduling jobs with SQL Server, Creating Database Maintenance plans, rebuild/ reorganize indexes & performing integrity checks.

Responsibilities

Highly proficient in Database Backups, Recovery, Restore, Linked Servers

Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery like Replication, Log Shipping, Mirroring and Clustering

Worked on Server performance debugging (event log, request monitoring)

Strong interpersonal and articulation skills both spoken and written
