Reserve Bank of India has been currently issued the Notification Regarding appointment of director for Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) on 21.03.2022. IGIDR is an autonomous advanced research institute established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) with the mandate to carry out research on multi-disciplinary issues.
As per the Notification, The Institute seeks an eminent scholar with proven track record of outstanding research and academic achievements as the Director, who shall be its principal academic and executive officer. A person possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals and institutional commitment would be preferred to be appointed as Director.

RBI Recruitment 2022 Eligibility:
- The person should be a distinguished academician, with a minimum of ten years of experience as Professor in a University or ten years of experience in a reputed research and / or academic administrative organization with proof of having demonstrated academic leadership.
- The Director’s appointment will be initially for a period of five years and he/she shall be eligible for reappointment for a further period of five years or less at a time / up to the age of 65 years. The applicant should not be aged more than 60 years as on April 18, 2022.
