Officials said that the question paper for the posts of Junior Clerk and Commercial Clerk in the Railway Department was released before the examination.
Elections were held on January 3 to fill the vacancies in the Western Railway sector. This time the exams were conducted by private organizations called NTPC and TCS. These selections were conducted for the positions of Junior Clerk, Commercial Clerk. NTPC and TCS conducted the test online as a written test. It was attended by 12,000 students.
2,500 students wrote the exam for the post of Junior Clerk, Commercial Clerk in Surat, Gujarat. On the 21st,January the anti-corruption officials of the railways found out that there were irregularities in the examination.
Following the investigation by the Western Railway Anti-Corruption Department, NTPC and TCS, the private companies that conducted the exam, created a fake website and published the question paper before the exam. It is also learned that a question paper has been sold for Rs 5 lakh. Thus the case has been filed against those companies. Authorities are also investigating five people who worked there.
