As per the information we got, there are 1,044 posts of Sub-Inspectors, Constables and Home Guards will be filled soon. While speaking about this the special officer Kubera Sivakumaran said that, ‘The Puducherry government has planned to fill the vacancies in police department.
At present, there are 390 constables have already been selected by Puducherry Police department and they are undergoing one-year basic training at Constable Training School. In this situation, recruitment exams are going to be held for the vacant posts of Sub-Inspector, Constables, Home Guard, Coast Guard in Puducherry Police. There are around 1,044 posts in the department’.

Accordingly 48 sub-inspectors are going to be selected through the direct examination, the officer said. Moreover, 307 Constables and 415 Home Guards and 200 Coast Guards posts will be filled soon. Also 35 drivers, 34 cooks, helpers, washerman and 5 picklers will be recruited soon, said in the press release.
