Prasar Bharati has invites the Offline Applications for filling up the posts for Stringers Vacancies from Eligible and Interested Candidates.
Prasar Bharati Eligibility Criteria 2021:
- Ideally, Stringers should be good camerapersons with good news sense. Therefore, the Educational and Profession qualification and experience of the stringers as camerapersons as well as newspersons should be taken into account while empanelling the stringers.
- Qualification and experience in Broadcast journalism and newsgathering shall be taken into account while assessing the suitability of the stringers.
Prasar Bharati Selection Process 2021:
While the criteria for selection and empanelment of stringers cannot be spelt out in the detail, the selection and empanelment committee may adopt a 5 stages process to empanel Stringers.
These Stages are
- Preliminary Scrutiny to Shortlist applicants.
- Test Coverage by Shot listed Applicants
- Interview
- Verification of equipment and documents
- Final List
Prasar Bharati Salary Package 2021:
The rates of payment to Stringers will be fixed by Orders issued by the Office of the Directorate general, Doordarshan from time to time. For assigned local coverage, a lump sum of Rs. 1500/-.

Candidates should pay the application fees is Rs. 1000/- payable in favour of DOD Doordarshan Kendra, Hyderabad.
