In Pondicherry CBSE Syllabus for Students in Government Schools from Next Academic Year 2022-23. The Pondicherry government have a plan to implement the Central Board of Secondary Education-CBSE in their schools as the syllabus instead of the TamilNadu education system. Still now the schools of the Union Territory Pondicherry teaches the TamilNadu state education system to their students, hereafter from the next academic session 2022-2023 the schools in UT will adopt the CBSE syllabus.
The Pondicherry government decided to provide CBSE education system to the students who are all studying in the government schools of that region. There is no specific separate education board in the UT Pondicherry. Like Pondicherry Enam followed the Andhra Pradesh syllabus and Mahe teaches the Kerala syllabus to their region students. The CBSE syllabus will be implementing is starts from the class of 6.
By this time, at 2011 the NR Congress political part also makes some planes to implement CBSE in the region. In the academic year of 2014-2015 the government of the Pondicherry at that time gives the 1st standard students the CBSE syllabus. Followed by that upto class 5 the CBSE system was implemented by the year 2018-2019. After that the implementation of CBSE system is stopped till 5th standard. This makes students who are studied CBSE syllabus until 5th standard, to study TamilNadu Education system from class 6. So, now the government decided to make CBSE as the syllabus system to the students of class from 6 to 12.
