‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ Is Observing Today: In India, August 14 will be observed as a “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” or ‘Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas’ to remember the victims of 1947 violence that happened during Indi-Pak partition. This day was declared as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day by honorable PM Narendra Modi in 2021 to commemorate the struggles that have gone through by millions of people while displacement and lost their loved ones.

Regarding this Modi states that partition is a dark chapter in Indian freedom struggle history and the country will never forget the impact. He also instructed and urged the citizens to remove the poisons of social divisions and to enhance the spirit of oneness to prevent this kind of tragedy happens again.
