Board of Secondary Education, Odisha was released the notification for the 2nd Phase Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) on the official website. The last date for submission of application is 20.11.2021. Interested candidates should apply before the last date.

As per the notification, the candidate must be able to communicate in Odia both orally and in writing. Candidates must have passed the HSC Examination conducted by the Odisha Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent examination conducted by any other State Board or Central Board (such as CBSE, ICSE) with Odia as a language subject (First/ Second/ Third Language).
The examination will be divided into two portions for prospective instructors in two categories are Education Teachers (Trained Graduate Teachers in Science/Arts, Hindi/Classical Teacher (Sanskrit/ Urdu/ Telgu)) are in Category I. OSSTET 2nd Phase exam shall be 2 papers, the duration of the test shall be 2 hours and 30 minutes. All questions will be multiple choice questions (MCQs), each having one mark and four options, one of which will be accurate.

Each paper has a minimum passing grade of 60%. A person who receives 60 percent or higher on each paper is regarded to have passed OSSTET. The minimum passing score for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC applicants will be 50%. The fee for OSSTET (2nd) is Rs. 500 for General and SEBC applicants and Rs. 300 for ST and SC candidates.
