OSSTET Exam 2021 Details:

• OSSTET shall be conducted once in a year, by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. OSSTET is only an eligibility test. It is not conferring a right on any person for recruitment/ employment in any of the Govt. or Govt. Aided schools. There shall be no restriction on the number of attempts for this examination.
• The candidates who want to get this eligibility can apply online before the last date. (Note: On 01 July 2021 the board has released the notification for the OSSTET 2021. But the board has mentioned a date that was expired. So, it is expected that, the board will release a new dates soon.)

OSSTET 2021 Eligibility:

Bachelors Degree in relevant field can apply for this recruitment. For some streams, B.Ed and other language qualification is necessary. So, the candidates should have the necessary educational qualification as mentioned by the board with respect to the post they want to apply for.

OSSTET 2021 Exam Pattern:

• The examination will be conducted in two different parts  as Paper-I and Paper-II. The candidate who are apply for – Education Teachers should choose Paper 1. And the candidates who are willing to apply for Physical Education Teacher, have to choose paper 2.
•  The Duration of the Test in each paper shall be 2 hours and 30 minutes. The questions asked in this examination are based on the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) method.

There will be four session for this exams. They are,

• Section-I- Language Odia (compulsory for all categories of posts)
• Section-II – Language II (English) (compulsory for all categories of posts)
• Section-III – Under stream TGT (Arts) and TGT (Science for both PCM & CBZ),
• Section-IV – Child Development, Pedagogy, School Management and Evaluation shall be in English and Compulsory for both the categories.

OSSTET Minimum Qualifying Marks:

The minimum pass mark in each paper is 60%. A person securing 60% or more in each paper shall be considered to have qualified OSSTET. The OSSTET Pass Certificate shall remain valid till the candidate reaches the upper age limit prescribed for recruitment of teachers as per rules.

Examination Fee:

The applicants should pay the examination fee of Rs. 500/-per candidate for General and SEBC category candidates. And the examination fee if Rs.300/- for ST, SC category of candidates.
