Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released Notification for the post of Geologist, Geophysicist and Mining Officer in Group-A of Odisha Mining and Geology Service under Steel and Mines Department. Name Of Post : Geologist – 30, Geophysicist – 01, Mining Officer – 04.
Age limit: Candidates applying for this role must be Minimum 21 Years to Maximum 32 Years as on 01-08-2018.
Education Qualification:
- For Geologist – Candidates should have completed 2nd Class M.Sc. in Geology or Applied Geology or Diploma in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad, Degree, diploma or certificate of lndian Institute of Technology or from any other institute where such degree, diploma or certificate is considered equivalent to Post-graduate degree in Geology.
- For Geophysicist - Candidates should have completed 2nd Class Post Graduate degree in exploration or Applied Geophysics or the degree in Geology and Geophysics from IIT or equivalent degree, diploma, certificate from any recognized Institution.
- For Mining Officer – Candidates should have completed 2nd Class degree in Mining Engineering from any recognized University in India or Diploma in Mining or in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad or any other Institute where such diploma or certificate is considered equivalent to the degree of Mining Engineering.
Selection Process : Selection will be based on Written Test and Viva Voce Test.
Pay scale: Rs.56,100.
