There are 721 vacancies allotted for this recruitment. In which the post wise vacancies are provided below.
- Sub-inspectors and – 477
- Constables (communication) – 244
Odisha Police Job Age Limit:
The age of the candidates should between the age limit of 21years to 25years. For the candidates who belong to the SC/ST/SEBC category candidates, there will be 5 years relaxation on the upper age limit. For other, the age relaxation limits can be referred in the official notification.
Odisha Police Recruitment 2021 Educational Qualification:
To be eligible for direct recruitment to the post of Constable (Communication), aspirants have passed +2 examination or equivalent. For the post of SI, the candidates should be a Graduate in any discipline to apply.
- Along with that, they should have the certificate in Diploma in Computer Application or Equivalent Course.
- The applicants can able to speak, read and write Odia and must have passed Odia as one of the subjects in the High School Certificate Examination.

Odisha Police Job Salary:
The candidates who will be selected for this recruitment will get the salary as per the norms of the board. The details of salary package will be intimated soon by the board.
GROUP” Odisha Police Recruitment 2021 Selection Process:
The selection of the candidates will have three steps. They are written examination, PET and Document verification. For the post of constable, the candidates should have pass in the written test. That contains marks of 100. The examination will take place for 2 hours. The written test will consist of Objective type multiple choice questions in two parts.
- Part A contains the questions in Odia Language, English Language, Arithmetic, Aptitude test and Logical Reasoning. The standard of questions will be of +2 standards for the mark of 25 marks.
- Part B contains the questions to test the proficiency in Computers. The standard of questions will be such that, a student who has passed Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) or equivalent
For the post of SI:
The written exam will contain two papers. They are
- Paper 1 – General English and Odia for 100 marks in 90 minutes
- Paper 2- General Studies for 200 maximum marks in 180 minutes
The written examination will consist of the question in objective type. The mode of examination will be OMR / OCR / CBT. The board is expected to announce the mode of examination soon. There will be negative mark of 0.25 for each wrong answer for both posts.
Physical Efficiency Test: will contains running for 1.6 km in 7 minutes (Qualifying for Men- All categories). If covered in beyond 7 minutes, the candidate will be disqualified. For Women of all categories should finish the running 1.6 km in 9 minutes. The further details can be referred on the official site and notification.
