Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility conditions for the above mentioned posts are as under:- Officers of the Central Government/Public Sector undertakings :- (a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent Cadre or Department; or (ii) with three years of regular service in Level-14; and (b) Possessing essential qualifications and experience as under –
(i) First Class Master Degree in Physics / Electronics/ Mathematics from a recognized University or Institute; or First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science/ Electronics / Electronics & Communication/ Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication/ Information Technology/ Mechanical/ Robotic Engineering from a recognized University or Institute; and
(ii) A total of twenty years Group ‘A’ service with at least fifteen years research or design or development or technology application or operational experience in the areas of Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning/ Knowledge Discovery/ Neural Network/ Advance Heuristics/ High Performance Computing (supercomputing, parallel processing, lattice and matrix computations, grid frameworks, scalable Graphic Processor Units (GPU) based HPC matrices, Quantum computing) and High-end Data Processing/ Situational Awareness Systems/ C4l Systems/ Enterprise-Wide Information Security Systems/ Combined experience in the above technologies/domains
(iii) Should have held a position of Scientist ‘G'(Level-14 of the Pay Matrix) or equivalent for at least three years in a directing capacity.
(iv) Knowledge of Computer Application.
Desirable
(i) PhD Degree in Physics/Electronics/Mathematics/Computer Science; or Masters Degree in Engineering or Technology in the Computer Science / Electronics / Electronics & Communication/ Electrical/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Information Technology/ Mechanical/Robotic Engineering from a recognised University or Institute; (ii) Experience in Directing or Monitoring or Coordinating Multi-disciplinary Research and Development projects. (iii) Certificate course in a Foreign language other than English from a recognised University or Institute.
Note-1 : The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation, Similarly, the deputationist shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion,
Note-2: The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 58 years as on the closing date of receipt of the application,
