- Candidates should possess a Degree in Mining Engineering with at least 60 % marks from a recognized University/Institute and with First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Coal
- Candidates should have through knowledge of open case/underground coal mines with more than 20 years of relevant experience
- Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the post and scale of Rs.12000-280000 or above (IDA pay scale of E8 grade or above of NTPC effective from 01.01.2017) or equivalent scale.
