WhatsApp has released a new update called “Approve New Participants”. With this feature, the group admins can control their joining members in their group and can avoid scammers to get joined in the group. This option is available in the group settings; admins can enable this option depending on their situations. This update will be helpful to maintain the large community groups.
When this feature is turned off, anyone can join the group without sending a request to the admin. When this feature is enabled, participants can able to join by only sending a request to the admins and the admin have to approve to join the new user. This feature is rolling out to some IOS beta testers on the test flight app. This update will be rolled out to all users once the testing process is over.
