It has been decided at the meeting of the Vice Chancellors that college classes for the academic year 2021-2022 will start in October in Karnataka.
Colleges Opening:
Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister C.N. Krishnan said that as per the conditions laid down by the UGC, colleges need at least 90 days of attendance record. Aswanth Narayanan said at the meeting of the Vice Chancellors.
He also said college and semester vacations would be cancelled 6 days a week. Vice-Chancellor Vander said it would take at least two years for the colleges to function as usual with the corona vulnerability fully reduced.
He said that the 5th semester examinations for the year 2020-2021 in the undergraduate course will end on March 31 and the 6th semester classes will start from April 1.
Engineering Final Year Exam:
With the engineering exams coming to an end on August 31, the exam results will be released on September 10th. With the first and third semester exams ending on April 30, the next semester is set to begin on May 2. The exams are expected to end on September 30.
Classes 1, 3 and 5 for the year 2021-2022 will begin on October 4. Classes start the day after the exams close on February 28. The 2,4th and 6th semester exams end on July 31.
The 7th Semester Examinations for engineering ends on March 31 and the next 8th Semester begins on April 1. 8th semester results will be released on September 10th.
Master’s Degree:
The 3rd semester exam for the postgraduate course ends on March 31. The 4th semester starts on April 1st. The first semester exams end on April 30 and the second semester starts on May 2.
