NEET Counselling 2021 Important Update: Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Explained Reservation in NEETNEET PG Counselling is deferred by Supreme Court and ordered MCC to revisit EWS and OBC reservation Criteria in All India Quota. Today (30.11.2021) Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Sushri  Pratima Bhoumik from the Lok  Sabha released a written information regarding Reservation in NEET.

NEET PG Counselling 2021 is Postponed for another 4 weeks: SC ordered to revisit 8 Lakh Criteria for EWS Quota

That written statement states that, 27% reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) in the All India Quota of Medical Education has been introduced by Government in August 2021. This reservation is also applicable for NEET Exam.  NEET AIQ reserved 27% reservation to OBC candidates and 10% reservation is announced to EWS candidates.

That statement also says that, As per Article 338B (5) of the Constitution, National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) is empowered to investigate and monitor all matters relating to the safeguards provided for the SEBC and also empowered to enquire complaints which deprives the rights of social and economically backward classes.

This statement by Sushri  Pratima Bhoumik may give an impact in NEET PG Counselling reservation case. SC scheduled next hearing of NEET PG counselling case on 06.01.2022.
