The number of women taking the NEET general examination for medical courses has reached ten lakh for the first time. The number of people applying to write the NEET entrance exam for medical courses has surged by 60%, with around 18 lakh people throughout the country registering. For the first time, 18 lakh people have filed to take the NEET exam in 2022. There are 2 lakh 57 thousand more students who have applied this year than the last year.

For the past five years, the NEET test has been held in 12 Indian languages, with the number of applicants for writing in Tamil increasing by 60% this year. Tamil Nadu has submitted 1, 42,286 applications. Similarly, for the first time, the number of women voting in the NEET general examination has surpassed 10 lakh. In the last five years, the number of NEET exam writers has risen dramatically across the country. This year, 18 lakh 70 thousand persons have registered for the NEET exam, up from 11 lakh 40 thousand in 2017.
