The Ministers of Education and Health are conducted the meeting and scheduled to hold the NEET exams for 2021 twice a year and online.
The National Eligibility and Medical Entrance Examination NEET Examination are conducted only once a year. Only those selected in the NEET exam will be allowed to enrol in the undergraduate medical course. 16 lakh people write this exam every year.

Prior to this, AIIMS, PGIMER and other companies conducted their personal medical entrance exams twice. But at present the Ministry of Human Resource Development has recommended that medical entrance examinations for undergraduate courses like MBBS and BDS should be conducted in India only once a year.
As the JEE (Main) entrance exams will be held four times a year from this year, there is a demand to increase the opportunities for students to take the NEET exam.
Yadav, an AIIMS official, said, “A student may not be able to write an exam for a number of reasons. Therefore, the chances of NEET exams should be increased as JEE (Main) entrance exams have to be held multiple times.

The meeting, to be chaired by the Ministers of Education and Health on Monday, January 25, will discuss the need to conduct NEET exams twice a year and online.
The Ministry of Education has the final say in this matter. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokri has also given permission to the authorities to consult on the matter.
