Nearly 80% Adults believe it is important to teach Kids about Cyber Safety: Recent Report.According to a research released on Tuesday, almost eight out of ten Indian parents feel that it is important to educate their children about the risks associated with using the Internet from a young age.

According to a NortonLifeLock consumer cyber safety brand research, the majority of Indian adults (86 percent) believe it is more crucial than ever for parents to communicate to their kids about online safety.

Almost 70% of people agreed that it is crucial for parents to limit their kids’ screen use. Additionally, the majority of Indians (81%) thought that teaching cyber safety should be on par with developing good habits, assisting with disaster preparedness, and teaching fundamental life skills (78 percent).

The study’s data came from a Harris Poll conducted among 1,004 adults in India. Approximately 73 percent of the people in India who responded to the study think it’s possible that kids will post personal information about their relatives online.

“When it comes to technological advancements, our children are naturals, quickly adjusting to the newest devices and web-based applications. While this is fantastic, data indicates that parents feel they must actively supervise and teach their children on internet habits, according to Ritesh Chopra, director of sales and field marketing for NortonLifeLock in India and SAARC countries.

According to the most recent study conducted in India, 78% of parents with children under the age of 18 found that their kids have used their smart gadgets without their consent. The most crucial element of children’s internet safety, according to Chopra, is that parents establish the proper rules regarding the Internet and any potential risks from a young age.

The analysis also noted that while 8 in 10 (80%) Indian respondents would prefer additional information on how to keep their connected devices secure, just half of connected device owners in India surveyed (54%) are concerned about someone hacking their connected devices.
