National Recruitment Agency: PM Modi, Amit Shah welcome NRA decision. National Recruitment Agency, NRA has been approved yesterday by the cabinet. PM Modi and Amit Shah have welcomed the decision calling it a move to ensure transparency in the recruitment process.

The Union Cabinet has approved the creation of a National Recruitment Agency, NRA on August 19, 2020. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the move to boost transparency in jobs and recruitment. The Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also all praises for the decision. He said that the creation of the agency would help the job-seeking youth of the country.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted yesterday:

The creation of NRA. He called the move a boon for the youngsters and said that the Common Eligibility Test would save time and resources of the aspirants. Take a look at his tweet below.

NRA is a testing agency which would be responsible for conducting the preliminary ‘eligibility’ examination for non-gazetted posts. NRA would conduct an online Common Eligibility Test, CET serving as a screening or a preliminary exam for various non-gazetted government jobs including the RRB, IBPS, SSC CGL, CHSL and others.

This will only be the first level of examination which would be taken by the candidates. If qualified, candidates will have to appear for the Tier 2 and 3 of the examinations, which would consequently be conducted by the NRA. Check out the complete FAQs on NRA here

The Home Minister Amit Shah wrote,

“NRA will provide equal opportunities to all sections of the society as each district will have an exam centre, the test will be in multiple languages and CET score will be valid for 3 years. A single test will also reduce the financial burden, which will greatly benefit the candidates.”

He also tweeted for the same through his official handle thanking the PM for his approval. He said that the agency would ensure transparency in the recruitment process for filling the Government sector vacancies across the country

He also praised the policy and said that the youth of India had got their long time due right to a transparent and easy job opportunity. The CET would create a uniform transformative process was the opinion of the home minister.
