Education Qualification

• Candidate must have successfully completed a bachelor’s or graduate degree with a major in either Engineering from a college or university that has ABET accredited engineering programs (OR) Physical Science, Mathematics, Life Science, Computer Science*, or other field of physical science.
• Curriculum must include 30 semester hours of course work in a combination of mathematics, statistics and computer science. Of the 30 semester hours, 15 must be in any combination of statistics and mathematics which includes differential and integral calculus.

Required Experience

• Candidate must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties.
• And have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level conducting independent engineering analyses and/or assessments; mission/system analysis or technology trades for advanced aerospace system concepts; or design, development, testing, analysis, application, or utilization of aerospace devices, vehicles, systems, and equipment.

• Defines and develops math models of space systems, architectures, campaigns, and portfolios to explore, analyze, and assess the design space.
• Elicits and integrates knowledge from subject matter experts and decision-makers to inform design, analysis, and assessment activities through the use of open, transparent, and structured methods.
• Evaluates, modifies, and improves existing analysis capabilities including methods, concepts, and procedures.
• Serves as a team member formulating, investigating, and defining feasible concepts for performing science and human space missions and campaigns within cost, schedule, and risk budgets constraints while meeting overall objectives.
