As per the notification, Only Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Police, Constables, Police Naiks, and Police Peons employed by the Maharashtra government’s Home Department would be eligible to take the exam. Candidates who have graduated from any branch of a recognised university must serve for four years on a regular basis. Candidates should have a maximum age limit 35 years and for Backward Class Candidates should have Maximum Age Limit 40 years. The applicants shall get salary pay scale Rs 38600-122800 plus dearness allowance and other allowances payable as per rules.
The selection will be based on the Pre-examination 100 marks, Main examination – 300 marks and Physical test 100 marks. The purpose of the pre-examination is to keep the number of candidates admitted to the main examination within the prescribed limits. Candidates who achieve a pre-examination score of at least or equal to the Commission’s minimum criterion are considered eligible for admission to the main test.
