National Agreements:
ESIC Signs an Agreement with SBI
- A Memorandum of Agreement has been signed between the Employees ‘State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and SBI today in accordance with which, the SBI would provide e-payment services directly to the bank accounts of all ESIC beneficiaries and payees without any manual intervention as an integrated and automated process.
- The SBI would provide e-payment integration with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) processes of ESIC through its Cash Management Product (CMP) e-payment technology platform.
16 MoUs signed during Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s U.S. visit: State government
- Tamil Nadu was India’s second-largest State economy, performing higher than the national average on various economic and developmental fronts, with a highly educated population and skilled labour force.
- “The best testimony for the State’s vibrant investment climate is the resounding success of the Global Investors Meet (GIM) 2019.
- Tamil Nadu had attracted nearly $43 billion in investments through 304 MoUs
Railways signs MoU with CII on green initiatives
- Indian Railways signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Confederation of Indian Industries in New Delhi for the facilitation of green initiatives. The objectives of the MoU is greening of Railway properties and energy efficiency in manufacturing facilities and railway workshops.
ISRO and DRDO signed MoUs
- Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has joined hands with Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for development of human-centric systems for the Human Space Mission to demonstrate its human space flight capabilities.
- A delegation of ISRO scientists, led by Director, Human Space Flight Centre (HSFC) Dr S UnnikrishnanNair, signed a set of MoUs with various DRDO labs to provide technologies for human-centric systems and technologies specific to the Human Space Mission.
MoU between Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and Government of Punjab
- Government e-Marketplace (GeM) under the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Government of Punjab, signed MoU to set up a GeM Organizational Transformation Team (GOTT) Project Management Unit (PMU) in the state.
Agreement between Skill India and IBM
- The Directorate General of Training (DGT) division of the Ministry of Skill Development &Entrepreneurship has signed an agreement with Global IT major IBM where the latter will carry out a nationwide Train-the-Trainer in Basic Artificial Intelligence Skills.
