Cabinet approved to give bonus for non-gazetted railway employees
- Cabinet approved Railway ministry proposal to give bonus to nearly 12 lakh non-gazetted railway employees.

- Cabinet has decided to set up National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) by merger of the National Council for Vocational Training and the National Skill Devlopment Agency (NSDA) into NCVET.
550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev next year with events across the globe
- The Government will commemorate the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev next year with events across the globe. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting of the National Implementation Committee chaired by Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi
Special package for footwear and leather sector
- The Central Government has approved a special package for employment generation in leather and footwear sector. Centre has approved four projects worth over 105 crore rupees to promote leather industry in Tamil Nadu.
Cabinet approves Scheme for setting up of Indian Institute of Skills at different locations
- The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the for setting up of Indian Institute of Skills(IISs) at different locations across the country in Public Private Partnership (PPP), which will be explored for promotion of IIS at select locations based on demand and available infrastructure.
SC rules out sale and registration of BS-IV vehicle from 1st April, 2020
- The Supreme Court has said, no Bharat Stage, BS-IV vehicle would be sold or registered in the country from 1st April, 2020. BS emission norms are standards instituted by the government to regulate output of air pollutants from motor vehicles.
- The BS-IV norms have been enforced across the country since April last year. In 2016, the Centre had announced the country would skip the BS-V norms altogether and adopt BS-VI norms by 2020.
DAC approves upgrade of 17 Dornier aircrafts of Indian Coast Guard
- The Defence Acquisition Council on Saturday approved the Mid Life Upgrade of 17 Dornier Aircraft of Indian Coast Guard at an approximate cost of Rs 950 crore.
- The upgrades will be carried out by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
Governors’ panel submits 21 recommendations to President for doubling farmers’ income

A committee of governors set up by President Ram Nath Kovind submitted a report on approach to agriculture for doubling the income of farmers in the country which made 21 major recommendations. Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik headed the panel.
