Cabinet approves railway zone at Vishakhapatnam
- Union Cabinet approved setting up of a Railway Zone at Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and a new division with headquarter at Rayagada in Odisha by reorganizing the existing South Central Railway and East Coast Railway.
Cabinet approves conversion of AIIMS, Delhi into world class Medical University
- Cabinet has approved the implementation of Master Plan to convert AIIMS, New Delhi into a world class Medical University. The Cabinet also approved setting up of new AIIMS at Manethi, Haryana at a cost of 1299 crore rupees.
Government bans Jamat-e-Islami J&K for 5 years
- The Centre has banned the Jamat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir for five years under anti-terror law on grounds that it is in close touch with terror outfits and is expected to escalate secessionist movement in the state.

- The Government has approved establishment of two new benches of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), one at Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh and the other at Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

- The Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at improving women livelihood and empowering them through skill development.
Govt reduces price of 390 anti-cancer drugs upto 87 pc
- The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority under Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers put out the list of 390 anti-cancer non-scheduled medicines with Maximum Retail Price reduction up to 87 per cent. This move is expected to benefit 22 lakh cancer patients in the country and will result in annual savings of nearly 800 crore rupees to the consumers.
SC appoints three-member mediation panel in Ayodhya land dispute case
- Supreme Court appoints three-member mediation panel in Ayodhya land dispute case. Former apex court judge Justice (retd) F M Kallifulla will head a panel of mediators in the case. Other members of the panel of mediators include spiritual guru Shri Shri Ravi Shankar and senior advocate Sriram Panchu.
