MoU for the Development of Ayush Enterprises
- Ministry of MSME and Ministry of AYUSH signed an MoU in the presence of the Ministers of AYUSH and MSME in New Delhi.
- The objective of this partnership is to position India as a world leader in “Holistic Healthcare”.
8 States & 4 Union Territories signed MoUs with the Union Health Ministry
- To implement the government’s ambitious national health protection mission Ayushman Bharat which aims to provide a cover of Rs.5 lakh per family annually to 10 crore vulnerable families.
Railways, IT Ministry ink pact to allow ticket bookings
- Common Service Centres (CSCs) that provide Internet infrastructure to rural areas will act as banking correspondents and there are plans to sell insurance too in the future.
- Under CSC, around 5,000 villages will also have access to Wi-Fi choupals. The platform aims to connect 2.5 lakh gram panchayats through optic fiber network.
- Two memorandums of understanding (MoU) were signed between CSC and IRCTC for reservation of rail tickets.
AR-SMART VILLAGE
- The Arunachal Pradesh government has inked an agreement with Andhra Pradesh-based Smart Village Movement (SVM) to facilitate technology innovations, research and development in selected villages of the north-eastern state.
Maharashtra government, Quebec ink pact for greater economic cooperation
- The Maharashtra government and Canada’s Quebec province have signed a pact to increase the economic cooperation, especially in areas like information technology, biotechnology, artificial intelligence and welfare of the tribal community.
Memorandum of Agreement for India’s first Lithium Ion (Li-ion) Battery project.
- Central Electro Chemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu under Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and RAASI Solar Power Pvt Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Agreement for transfer of technology for India’s first Lithium Ion (Li-ion) Battery project.
Repositioning of North Eastern Council
- The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Modi has approved the proposal of Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) for the nomination of the Union Home Minister as ex-officio Chairman of North Eastern Council (NEC), a statutory body with Governors and Chief Ministers of all the eight North Eastern States as its Member.
‘Three Year Action Plan of Agricultural Education Division & ICAR Institutes
- The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Modi has approved the continuation of the Three Year Action Plan (2017-2020) of the scheme for Agricultural Education Division and ICAR Institutes for strengthening and developing higher agricultural education in India.
- The scheme is aimed to generate quality human resources from the institutions of higher agricultural education.
