About Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU):
Madurai Kamaraj University was inaugurated on 6 February 1966, based on the extension centre of the University of Madras, at Madurai. In 1968, the foundation stone for a new campus was laid by Zakir Hussain, the then President of India.The Directorate of Distance Education of the university was established in 1971. In 1978, the name was changed to Madurai Kamaraj University to honour K. Kamaraj, former Chief Minister of Madras State.

MKU Recruitment 2021 Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates should have pass in M.Sc., / M.A., in Electronic Media, Visual Communication, Mass Communication, Journalism, Advertising or equivalent programmes with minimum of 55 per cent (5% relaxation is applicable to SC/ST/MBC/BC). 12 Months and will be extended for 6 months subject to the approval from the granting agency (Non-Extendable beyond 18 Months)
- Most Preference will be given to candidates with Knowledge and Experience in Photography, Videography and Video Editing. Nature of the Position: Extensive Field Research Work, Community Engagement for Science and Health, Video Recording and Production. Those who are appearing for PG final year semester examinations can also apply. Those who have apply already, send your updated application again.
MKU Age Limit:

Research Assistant Salary for MKU Recruitment 2021:

MKU Selection Process:
Selection will be based on a Written Test and followed by a Personal Interview. The selected person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in Granting Agency or in Madurai Kamaraj University. The position will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Granting Agency/University particularly applicable to the project.
