Ministry of Commerce Offers Easy Rules in SEZ Work From Home. In a way to reduce the stress of the Information Sector-IT company’s government eased the work from home norms for units in special economic zones (SEZ). This new decision is suitable for the companies whose 50 percentage or fewer employees opt for WFH can flexibly use this facility without submitting the attendance records with the SEZ development commissioner.
The Ministry of Commerce released work from home guidelines for Special Economic Zone-SEZ units. In the month of July government of the nation allowed the work from home practicing employees to continue the remote working culture for the one year of period. That offer can be extended to 50 per cent of total employees.

EY India Partner Bipin Sapra, “The SOP allowing the utilization of WFH facility flexibly among employees due to day to day business requirements subject to such prescribed percentage of attendance which is approved by the development commissioner is a welcome step. Steps like non submission of attendance records and deemed approval for WFH proposals within 15 days of submission would reduce administrative hassles to the IT sector”.
