Reopening of Schools in Maharashtra for Classes 1 to 9 – Education Minster Confirmed!! In the state Maharashtra, schools will be reopening from January 24 for the classes 1 to 9. Varsha Gaikwad the Minister of School Education Department talks about the schools reopening and she confirmed that, Uddhav Thackeray, the Chief Minister of the state Maharashtra, has approved a proposal of reopening the schools. Varsha Gaikwad said that “Written instructions on this will be issued either today or tomorrow”.

Because of the rapid spread of covid 19 infection and the increasing positive cases of corono variant omicron, the schools of the state Maharashtra has been shut downed at the first week of the month January. The parents and some activist opposed to that act of schools shutting down. They said that, it could change the students mind against studying.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) assessment had announced that there is no increasing rate of corono variant omicron, and it had said that the curve was flattening. This would conquer the result of reopening of schools in the state. So students of Maharashtra had to go school from January 24.

Minister Varsha Gaikwad said that, “Our SOPs is strict and clear. Instructions have been given to schools 4 days in advance to undertake vaccination and sanitization and for preparation of time-table. The timing and other necessary decisions will be taken by the local authorities, such as district collector or municipal commissioner based on the local situations,”
