The University of Madras, which is mostly call by the name of Madras University, is a public state university in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and India. It is founded in the year 1857; it is one of the oldest universities in India, originated by an Act of Legislative Council of India under the British government.
Madras University offers M. PHIL and PhD degree under Full Time, Part Time mode. The duration of both the programs is 2 years. However, the mode of admission is separate for both the courses. The minimum qualification for M. PHIL program is a Master degree from any recognized university.
Online application will be available from 01.12.2021 to 31.12.2021. For General category candidates who qualified for the master degree must have secured a minimum of 50% marks. For SC/ST/PWD candidates who qualified for the master degree must have to secure a minimum of 60% of marks TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Exam) / UGC /CSIR NET score is taken into consideration for the selection process. Applicants can visit the official website and can pay the application fees of INR 300/- online. Prescribed Fee of Rs. 500/- with GST 18% Rs. 90% total Rs. 590/- through online.
