Hence, the new recruitment in these sectors are also seen to be significant. In this context, reports have informed that the demand for data science professionals in India is very high. That said, among 84 percent of professionals in the country Machine Learning (ML) and Statistics data science professionals are in high demand.

The computer language Python is the most widely used programming language in all fields. Similarly, BYJU’s group company Great Learning reports that MS Excel, Tableau and Power BI are the top three visualization tools used by data scientists. And for professionals who want to thrive in a digital future, they need to start the foundation for the data science skills to tackle the coming changes, says Hari Krishnan Nair who is the co-founder of Great Learning.
So far, three out of four data scientists with less than three years of work experience are engaged in development work on a weekly basis. Similarly, more than 50 percent of professionals receive professional development weekly in three to six years. Besides, professionals with 6 to 10 years of experience prefer to upgrade their skills quarterly, the report says.
