L&T Lags In 35,000 Labours But Hesitate To Hire Employees: In India recruiting employees is based upon skills and experience, the recent recruitment status of the corporate companies is becoming slow-paced amid recession and layoffs. The first half of 2023 has faced serious sacks of employees. Now, Indian MNC Larson & Toubro (L&T) is in a lag of employees.

According to the report, the company requires around 35,000 employees but the company is also struggling and hesitating to hire the employees. The company’s CEO Mr. SN Subrahmanyan states that Indian employees are having lack skill sets and they should need to upskill them.
He also states that the company always monitors the labour’s skills using modularity and automation and that is the reason for the hiring struggle. Due to the labor shortage, there is a $50 billion backlog in the company’s balance sheet, and the vacant positions in mainly in EPC business that only needs trained employees said Subrahmanyan.
