Lockdown Extended in Two States: Lockdown like Restrictions has been extended in two states. Officials announced this through the sources. As per the data, the Maharashtra government has announced that the curfew will be extended to 7 am on June 1, with the curfew set to end on May 15. Curfew has also been imposed in Bihar to control the corona. State Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said that the curfew will be extended till May 25 as it ends on May 15. Extension of Lockdown like Measures

Many states in India has made announcement of Lockdown. Some states have some restrictions in the lockdown and some haven’t any restrictions. Now let us come to the point, Maharashtra government has already announced the Lockdown till May 15. Now the state government has made a new order regarding the extension of lockdown in the state. As per the official order, the lockdown-like restrictions have been extended till 7am, June 1. Likewise, the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has said that the curfew will be extended till May 25 as it ends on May 15.

New Changes in Maharashtra:

As per the new order, anyone entering the state will have to carry a negative RT-PCR report (Corona Negative Certificate). This rule was earlier applicable only to the travelers coming in from the states marked as sensitive origin, now this has been extended for people coming from any states and UT.

Minister Tope Statement:

Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Tope said the lockdown-like measures are unlikely to be changed. Looking at the positive effect of the lockdown-like curbs in reining in the raging pandemic, all ministers unanimously said the restrictions must be extended, said Tope after the meeting.

At the moment,

  • Only essential workers can use the trains.
  • Shops selling essentials can be open only for four hours from 7am to 11am.
  • Home deliveries are allowed until 8pm.
  • Buses, autos, taxis with 50% capacity are allowed (travelers have to prove that moving about is necessary.)
  • Weddings are restricted to 2 hours with not more than 25 people present.

Bihar:

Curfew has also been imposed in Bihar to control the corona. State Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said that the curfew will be extended till May 25 as it ends on May 15.
