Local Holiday Declared on March 13 – Check the Reason Behind the Announcement: In recent times the Government of Tamil Nadu has announced many local holidays to certain districts to celebrate the local function/celebrate the birth anniversary of an upright person.
Recently Pudukottai district collector, KavitaRamu announced a local holiday for the pudukottai district on March 13 to celebrate the ThiruvappurMuthumari Amman temple function. To compensate for this holiday, April 1 has been declared as a working day.
ThiruvappurMuthu Mari Amman temple is one of the famous temples around pudukottai region which is situated at 5KM from pudukottai. The flower showering festival is a famous function in that temple which will be held in the Tamil month Masi every year.
