KVS Admission Age Limit for Class 1 2022-23: Last date for applying extended by 3 weeks. The High Court ruled that, the age limit to get KVS class 1 seat is till 5 years, and the new KVS guideline is invalid. Earlier, the kendriya vidyalaya sangathan changed the KVS age limit for 1st class students from 5 years to 6 years. A petition was filed in the court against this new guidelines from the side of the parents on behalf of their child.

As per the kVS admission guidelines 2022 23, the child who want to get seat in the kendriya vidyalaya for class 1 must have the age limit of 6 years by the date of March 1 of the respected academic year. It is noted that child born at the April 1 can also be able to get admission in KVS.

The petition reads that, “the changed KVS age limit for 1st class guidelines is uploaded only before four days to the date of KVS admission. The petitioner does not accept that the new guidelines made their child ineligible to get seat at KVS for class 1” The legal notice regard this petition was send to KVS on February 27, 2022.
Now the Supreme Court refused to accept the new guidelines of the KVS. And also the court said that” the age criteria for admission to class 1 in its schools was still five years and it has “nothing to do” with KVs. The last date of March 21 for applying would be extended till April 11.
