Step 1: The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots) for Eligibility for Assistant Professors shall be equal to 6% of the candidates appeared in both the papers of KSET-2020.
Step 2: The total slots arrived, amongst those candidates who have appeared in all two papers and cleared step I, a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the two papers secured by such candidates.
In order to be considered for ‘Eligibility for Assistant Professor’, the candidate must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks taken together for General (Unreserved) category candidates and at least 35% aggregate marks taken together for all candidates belonging to the reserved categories (viz., Cat-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, SC, ST, PWD) (belonging to Non-Creamy Layer).
Step 3: According to UGC’s directive, 6% of the appearing candidates are to be declared qualified for Eligibility for Assistant Professor only [Appearing means appeared in all two papers of SET]. The reservation policy prevalent in the State is to be used to compute the category-wise qualifying slots available for eligibility for Assistant Professor
