Kerala Education Minister C. Rabindranath has said that Kerala has the lowest dropout rate in India.

By 2020, the world will be paralyzed by a corona infection. Thus the people faced severe economic problems. Thousands of students have dropped out of school due to the financial crisis of their parents.
In other words parents enrolled their children in government schools this academic year. In Kerala, during a meeting of the Legislative Assembly, the Education Minister, in reply to a question in the Assembly, said, “About 6.79 lakh new students have been enrolled in government schools in the state.”

“The school dropout rate in Kerala has come down to 0.11. The high school dropout rate is 0.15. The average human resource development rate in India is 17.06 per cent,” he said.
Speaking on the new approach being taken by the government to conduct examinations, Rabindranath said, “Examinations should not be a criterion for selecting students, but should identify the talents of each student and select a student accordingly. This new approach was developed by the Department of Education.”
Asked about the syllabi for general examination students, he said, “Classes for Class 10 students ended yesterday and classes for Class 12 will be completed in the next two weeks.”
