KARTET Exam Validity:

KARTET is an eligibility test for the candidates who are trying to get the Teacher job. But at the same time, the exam has no claim for recruitment. The Validity Period of KARTET qualifying certificate will be life time. There is no restriction on the number of attempts. So, a person who has qualified KARTET may also appear again for improving his / her score.

KARTET Exam Paper 1 Vs. Paper 2:

The exam will be held in two papers those who clear paper 1 will be eligible to teach in classes 1 to 5 and those who qualify paper II will be eligible to teach classes 6 to 8. A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear for both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

KARTET Educational Qualification:

• The candidates who are willing to apply for the paper 1 (for teaching class 1 to 5) should have the minimum qualification  PUC / Senior Secondary/ Graduation or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma/ 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education.
• For the paper 2, Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma/ 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education / B.Ed/ B.A.B.Ed/ B.Sc.B.Ed is the necessary educational qualification to apply for this recruitment.

KARTET Exam Pattern:

KARTET test will be of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark. There will be no negative marking. The medium of question paper other than the languages shall be in Kannada, English, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Marathi. The candidates belonging to General /2A/2B/3A/SB should secure a minimum of 60% to be eligible. And for the SC / ST / CI, differently able persons the minimum eligibility percentage will be 55%.
