Karnataka Postal Recruitment 2022: Locals are Not Interested!!! Vacancy Details Here.India Post has issued a recruitment notice for 237 Dak Sevak, Assistant Branch Post Master, and Branch Post Officer positions in post offices across the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. The agency published a notice on May 3 inviting applications for 39,000 positions across India, including 2,410 in Karnataka.

Shriharsha, Senior Superintendent of Posts for Mangaluru Division, said that people who have passed their Class 10 or SSLC examinations are eligible to apply for the position. “Selection will be based solely on the results of the Class 10/SSLC examination.” There will be no written examination or interview,” he said, adding that applications must be submitted online by June 5 at www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Dak Sevak’s responsibilities include packaging and delivering mail to homes in rural and suburban areas. The Assistant Branch Post Master’s responsibilities include mail delivery, speed post articles, and offering doorstep banking services. The Branch Post Master is in charge of the Grameen Dak Service post office and also has additional responsibilities.

Unlike in the past, when applicants applied for positions across India, this time they must apply for positions inside a specific division. Mangaluru Postal Division, which comprises Mangaluru, Mulki, and Ullal, has 75 empty jobs, while Puttur Postal Division, which covers Bantwal, Belthangady, Sullia, Puttur, Kadaba, and Moodbidri taluks, has 97. In the taluks of Udupi, Kundapura, and Karkala, there are 65 vacancies.

Few people from Dakshina Kannada are applying for Dak Sevak and two other government jobs, just as they are for other government jobs.

“In 2021, just 53 of the 81 empty positions for which applications were sought were filled. Only eight people from Dakshina Kannada were among the 53,” Mr. Shriharsha remarked. He expressed the hope that more local people would apply this time, as he believes that a stable administration is required.

For a four-hour work day, a Branch Post Master will be paid a minimum of Rs. 14,000 per month, while an Assistant Branch Post Master/Dak Sevak will be paid a minimum of Rs. 10,000 per four-hour work day and Rs. 12,000 each five-hour work day. Dearnesss Allowance of 34% of the basic salary and other allowances will be paid for all the three posts. They will be covered under the National Pension Scheme.
