7th Pay Commission Implementation – This State Govt Employees Get Huge Salary Hike!! The Karnataka government has approved the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission to fix the wages of state government employees. Accordingly, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s Government set up a new pay committee under the leadership of retired Chief Secretary K. Sudhakar Rao.
The panel comprises retired IAS officer PP Ramamurthy, retired principal director of audit and accounts department Srikanth V Vanavalli, and joint secretary of infrastructure department Rani Koralpathi. Now the committee has been given six months to make a research regarding this and submit a report on the 7th Pay Commission. With the committee’s recommendation, the final decision will be taken keeping in mind the pay scales of government employees, aided educational institutions, and financial responsibilities, a statement said.
Accordingly, if the 7th Pay Commission is approved, lakhs of employees and pensioners in the state will benefit. Similarly, employees currently drawing salary under the 6th Pay Commission are expected to get a huge pay hike. In particular, it is also estimated that there will be a salary hike from Rs.10,000 to Rs.40,000 for the employees.
