JIPMER Research Assistant Recruitment 2021 Eligibility Criteria:
Assistant Professor of Medicine:
- A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act.)
- Candidates should have a Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD in Medicine or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline or subject.
Research assistant (Medical Social Worker):
- Candidates should have a Master’s degree in social work/sociology from a recognized university.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in TB research projects from a recognized institution/hospital.
Junior Nurse:
- B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized university
- Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a reputed institute/hospital.
Project Technical Officer (Regulatory Coordinator):
- Master’s in MPH/ Life science from a recognized university.
- Minimum 2 year of experience in National/ International research projects.
Technical assistant (Finance):
Candidates should have pass in M. Com / MBA Finance with 1 year working experience of administration/finance and accounts work.
Technical assistant (Finance):
Candidates should have pass B.Com with 1 year working experience of administration/finance and accounts work.
Research Associate:
Candidates should pass Ph.D. in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Medical laboratory Technology from a recognized university
(Or)
Candidates should pass Master’s degree in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Medical laboratory Technology from a recognized university with 3 years’ work experience in Research/Lab.
Lab technician: D.M.L.T with 60% aggregate marks from a recognized university with minimum 4 years’ experience in a recognized Institute/ hospital.
Lab technician:
- Candidates should have a Master’s degree in life sciences from a recognized university.
- Candidates should have Minimum 3 years lab related experience in recognized Institute/ hospital.
Senior technical assistant (Lab):
Candidates should have pass Ph.D. in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Medical laboratory Technology from a recognized university with years’ work experience in Research/Lab.
(Or)
Candidates should have pass Master’s degree in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized university with 5 years’ work experience in Research/Lab.
Driver:
- Matriculation or SSLC or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Driving license.

- Assistant Professor of Medicine – not exceed 50 years
- Research assistant – Upto 35 years
- Junior Nurse – Upto 35 years
- Project Technical Officer – Upto 30 years

- Technical assistant (Finance) – Upto 30 years
- Technical assistant (Finance) – Upto 30 years
- Research Associate – Upto 35 years

JIPMER Research Assistant Salary:
- Assistant Professor of Medicine – Rs 1,01,500/- per month
- Research assistant – Rs 30,000/- per month
- Junior Nurse – Rs 30,000/- per month
- Project Technical Officer – Rs 35,000/- per month
- Project Technical Officer – Rs 30,000/- per month
- Technical assistant (Finance) – Rs 25,000/- per month
- Technical assistant (Finance) – Rs 20,000/- per month
- Research Associate – Rs 36,000/- per month
- Lab technician – Rs 20,000/- per month
- Lab technician – Rs 30,000/- per month
- Driver – Rs 16,000/- per month
- Senior technical assistant (Lab) – Rs 38,000/- per month
If the appointee wishes to resign his/her job, he/she has to serve one month’s notice or remit one month’s salary or pay thereof, as the case may be proportionate to the shortfall in the notice period.
JIPMER Selection Process:
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their CV. The shortlisted candidates will receive an email confirmation which will also include details of the online interview. Selected and waitlisted candidates will be engaged in INDO US TB projects as and when required. The date of interview for the eligible candidates will be intimated later.
JIPMER Application Fee:
Application Fee only for the Assistant Professor of Medicine post (₹500/- for UR & OBC and ₹250/- for SC & ST) must be paid through SBI Collect. No fee for PWD candidates. check the official notification pdf.
