A new scheme has been announced to provide scholarships to 1.28 lakh public sector students studying in government schools in the state of Jharkhand.

As a result, the schooling of many thousands of children is cut in half. Many state governments are offering scholarships to students with the aim of promoting education to their children without interrupting their studies.

Similarly, the Jharkhand State Department of School Education and Literacy is soon to announce a new scholarship scheme to provide scholarships to students in classes 1 to 8 studying in 1.28 lakh public sector government schools under the Chief Minister’s Special Grants Scheme. Necessary funds have been allocated for this project in the financial year 2020-2021. In addition, the new scheme will create an additional financial crisis of 11 crore 38 lakh rupees a year for the government. Previously the scheme was offered only to OBCs / Minorities / SC / STs Belonging to 1st to 8th class.
This year is the first time that scholarships have been awarded to students in the public sector. Rs.500 / – per annum for Classes 1-4, Rs.1,000 / – per annum for Classes 5-6 and Rs.1,500 / – per annum for Classes 6-8 will be provided through this new scheme.
