Following the central government’s announcement of a hike in the Dear Allowances, the Tamil Nadu state government has also announced a 4 percent hike today. With this, the DA for state government employees and pensioners will increase from 46 percent to 50 percent. Around 16 Lakh government employees, teachers, pensioners and family pensioners will benefit from this.
This will cost the government an additional cost of Rs 2587.91 Crore per year. However, the notification said that the government would allocate additional funds for the welfare of government employees, teachers, and pensioners. Please stay tuned with us to know more updates from Tamil Nadu Govt.
