ITBP MOSB Result 2018 Released on the official site. Indo-Tibetan Border Police – Applications are invited from Indian Citizens (Male & Female) for appointment to Group ‘A’ post of Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second-in-Command), Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant) and Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant) in Central Armed Police Forces (ITBP, BSF, CRPF, SSB and Assam Rifles), Ministry of Home Affairs, and Government of India. On joining, a candidate shall be governed by the Act and Rules, as applicable to the organization he is allotted to after selection and as amended from time to time.

ITBP MOSB Method of Selection:

(i) For Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second-in-Command), Specialist Medical Officers (Dy Commandant) and Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant)

(a) Eligible candidates will be called for interview by a Board of Officers at designated centres to assess their suitability for appointment in CAPFs .

(b) A total of 200 marks are allotted to the selection process to test the general knowledge and ability of the candidates in the field of their academic study and also in the nature of personality test to assess the candidate’s intellectual curiosity, balance of judgment and alertness of mind, ability of social cohesion, integrity of character, initiative and capability of leadership. The minimum standard for the purpose of selection at the interview shall be 50% of the total marks prescribed for interview of Super Specialist Medical Officers and 40% in a case of Specialist Medical Officers and Medical Officers.

ITBP Medical Officer Merit List:

The Medical Officers Selection Board will prepare a merit list on the basis of aggregate marks awarded to each candidate during the interview. The Board will also compile merit list separately for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

ITBP MOSB Medical Examination:

(i) The candidates who attain the minimum prescribed standard for the selection in the interview will be required to undergo medical examination by a Board of CAPF Medical Officers duly constituted by Medical Officers Selection Board on a day following the date of interview.

(ii) Candidate will either be declared “FIT” or “UNFIT” in Medical Examination Test and those declared Unfit will be allowed to appear before the “Review Medical Board” on their appeals by Appellate authority as per Annexure-‘VII’.

(iii) Candidates declared unfit in detailed medical examination if not satisfied with the findings of the Medical Officer, may submit an application for his/her re-medical examination with a duly filled Medical Fitness certificate (Proforma at Annexure-VII) as proof of evidence about the possibility of error of judgment on the part of Recruitment Medical Officer within 15 days from the date of his/her rejection in DME. The medical certificate will not be taken into consideration unless it contains a note by the medical practitioner concerned to the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidate has already been rejected as unfit for appointment in ITBP by a Medical Officer.

(iv) The appeal will also not be taken into consideration unless it contains Medical ReExamination Fee of Rs. 100/- in form of Indian Postal Order and Rejection Slip (original) issued by the Presiding Officer. RME fee in the form of IPO should be prepared in the name DDO, Directorate General, ITB Police, New Delhi. The appeal complete in all respects should be submitted within 15 days from the date of issue of Rejection Slip in which the finding of the Medical Officer are communicated to the candidate. ITBP will not be responsible for any postal delay.

(v) The application for re-medical examination shall be sent to Inspector General (HQrs), Directorate General, ITB Police Force, Block-2, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road New Delhi-110003.
