According to World Bank, India’s Female Labour Force Participation Rate (that can be referred as “FLFPR”) has fallen to 20.3% in 2019 from more than 26% in 2005. The FLFPR was about 30.27% in 1990. At the same time, the FLFPR in Bangladesh is 30.5% in and 33.7% in Sri Lanka. So, India has needed to increase the rate to be good for women.
