Short Information: Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata is inviting applications for the recruitment of ten (10) Project linked Junior Research Fellows on purely temporary basis in the Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) funded by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi and undertaken by the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata on Data Science, Big Data Analytics and Data Duration.

About ISI Kolkata:

• Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is a Civil Service and Research institute which is recognized as an institute of national importance by the 1959 act of the Indian parliament.
• It grew out of the Statistical Laboratory set up by Prasanta Chandra Mahalanob is in Presidency College, Kolkata. Established in 1931, this unique institution of India is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions focused on statistics, and its early reputation led it to being adopted as a model for the first US institute of Statistics set up at the Research Triangle, North Carolina by Gertrude Mary Cox.

ISI Kolkata Eligibility Criteria 2021:

• Applicants must have complete E./M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ Information Technology or M.Sc. in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Electronics/ Computer Science.
• Job Seekers also having Good knowledge in Computer Programming (CIC+/Java/Python) and All through First Class.
• Candidates Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 April 2021, with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBBC and differently abled candidates.
• Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.

ISI Kolkata Salary Package 2021:

The Salary Offered for above said post is Rs. 31000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand only) plus House Rent Allowances as per rules of the Institute.

Tenure of Appointment:

The appointment will be initially for one year from the date of his/her joining the Institute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidates.

ISI Kolkata Selection Process 2021:

• Candidates appearing for the final year of the required degree may also apply given they can produce their relevant certificates before the written test and/or interview.
• At the time of joining, selected candidate has to produce all relevant documents/testimonials/NoC Letters in original for verification and a medical certificate of fitness from the Medical Officer of the Institute.
• Failing this, the institute will offer the position to the next candidate in the merit list prepared for this purpose.
• CVs with incomplete information or without supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
• Selection of shortlisted candidates will be through Written test and/or online interview by maintaining of all preventive measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Global epidemic as directed by the Government of India.
• The written test and/or interview date will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates in due course.
