They conduct the entrance exams to check the previous knowledge of the students. However, government schools never conduct entrance exams for the student to enroll in government schools as providing education for the children is the government’s priority.
But now there is news about entrance exams for entering government model schools has been spreading. Tamil Nadu government started these model schools inspired by the Delhi model schools. These model schools are started with a motive to improve the infrastructure, teaching methods, and other facilities in Tamil Nadu government schools. These schools are working as models for all the other government schools in that state.
Recently there was news which has been spreading around saying that 10th standard students are having entrance exams to enter into Tamil Nadu model schools. Now the educational minister of Tamil Nadu Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has come to clarify the news. He said that there is no entrance exam for students who want to join the government’s model schools.
