Amended Some Rules: In Tamil Nadu the Department of Technical Education (DoTE) commenced the registration process for the TN Engineering Admission (TNEA 2023) in May month. Now the board has amended some rules in the admission counseling for allocating a random number to candidates.

The department will issue a random number for the candidates before the issue of the rank list; this random number will be helpful to prioritize whether candidates have got the same cut-off marks. As of now, the 10th mark has been included for allotting the random number but according to the amended rules, the board has avoided considering the 10th mark for the academic year 2023 -2024 engineering counseling.
According to the report, the 10th exam for these candidates has been cancelled due to the covid issues, so the board has decided not to consider the SSLC marks for the allotment of the random number. Candidates who have applied for TNEA 2023 admission counseling can take note of it and the counseling has been scheduled to be held from July 7, 2023.
