Infosys, TCS, Wipro, SBI the Top Companies That Hire People With Disabilities In FY22: An analysis of their annual report announcements on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities reveals that the top 50 listed corporations in India employed 12,295 PWDs on a permanent basis in FY22.

The number of PWDs hired by some of India’s top corporations increased significantly in the years 2021–2022, when 10.6% more individuals with disabilities were hired by Nifty-50 companies than in the year before, FY21. The percentage of people with disabilities employed by these companies is still less than half of their entire permanent workforce.

SBI, for instance, has 2,44,250 permanent workers overall, but only 5,096 of them are people with disabilities. With 3,42,982 employees overall, RIL employs 1,410 people with disabilities on a permanent basis. Despite having more than 9 lakh employees total, Infosys and TCS collectively employ less than 2,000 PWDs. Similar to Wipro, there are just 697 persons with impairments who work there full-time.
