To apply for Musician Sailor, candidates must be born between October 1, 1996 and September 30, 2004. There will be no age exceptions. The candidate must have passed the Matriculation Examination from one of the Boards of School Education recognised by the Ministry of Education of the Government of India. Candidates must be proficient on one or more instruments, such as keyboards, strings, wind instruments, or any other Indian or foreign instrument.
Applicant can play jazz drums, bass drum, snare drums, side drums, cymbals, and other non-chromatic instruments. For Carnatic Classical music on Wind Instruments, a certificate of musical experience is required. Initial training would pay Rs. 14600 per month to the selected candidate. After completing the programme, the candidate will be paid between Rs. 21700 and Rs. 69100 per month. The candidate will be considered for promotion to Master Chief Petty Officer-I.
After progression, applicants will be paid between Rs. 47600 and Rs. 151000 per month. Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the Music Screening Board, as well as their ability to pass the PFT and medical examination. Candidates must apply through Common Service Centres (CSC) and pay a Rs. 60 + GST application fee.
